“Farmview” was designed in Pleasant Green Farms, a gated equestrian community outside of Hillsborough, NC. Originally this was a private cattle and horse farm, and when the owners decided to move closer to town, they made the decision to develop their property into a gated equestrian development, with lots that are a minimum of 10 acres.

Hutch was asked by the developer to design one of the first homes to be built there, as a spec home to bring people out to see the development. The developer wanted to maintain the high quality of construction that their former home contained, and wanted a house plan that would be appealing to families at different stages of life. With that in mind, Hutch designed a warm, open home with spaces that flowed from one to the other, yet maintained a sense of space. Key was incorporating the beautiful views of the surrounding land, which included views to the lake and the barn. This is truly a wonderful house that takes in all it can of the placement on its site.

This home was an award-winning entry in the 2015 Durham and Orange County Homebuilder’s Parade of Homes.
