BLUE RIDGE MOUNTAIN CLUB, BOONE, NC
Perched on the side of a mountain, this home creates a wide open floor plan oriented to the views of mountain ranges out the back of the house. Given its smaller size, placement of furniture is key to maximize the spaces. While it is smaller, the volume of the space feels large, and the use of indoor to outdoor areas expands it further. The exterior is done to blend with the wonderful old Blowing Rock cottages using materials typical to the area — poplar bark siding, cedar shake shingles, cedar board and batten siding, and stacked stone.
